Description:
Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-Star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA is seeking an LPN / RN Medication Nurse to join our team! Full-time, night shift (7P-7A) position available with a complete benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, 403B with match, and more.
- Prepares, administers, and records prescribed medications as administered.
- Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner.
- Administers medications, treatments, IV's, catheters, and obtains blood samples as necessary.
- Evaluates nursing care with emphasis on medication administration, prescribed treatments, and patient responses; consults with supervisory nurse in the establishment of short-term and long-range goals for patients.
- Reports adverse reactions of medications and/or treatments in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Provides bedside care for a wide variety of patients.
- Participates in discharge planning as needed.
Requirements:
- A valid unencumbered Virginia LPN OR RN license is required
- Two to three years of experience working in a skilled setting preferred
